    Looking for equipment/software vendors and advice from our members on a project I am working on.

    We handle fulfillment of web orders of different tags that contain NFC chips. The tags are not specific to the recipient. There are about 15 skus that get picked, packed and sent out.

    The client would like us to start matching the NFC codes to their database. We currently have a process mapped out but it is fairly manual. We currently look up the name in the database (we keep everything in order so they are relatively easy to find). We then scan the package on an NFC reader and the code auto fills into a field. Once the code is in the field, the software auto enters to the next record line. If things are kept in order, then the database is ready to receive the next input. This works, but there can be errors and it is fairly time consuming.

    We are wanting to move to a more automated process where we possibly put the package on a conveyor, have it scanned and then pass over an NFC reader, linking the package/recipient to the NFC tag.

    Any suggestions on building a system like this?

    Just bumping this to the top again. Does anyone have any suggestions on automating a process to lookup an address, scan an NFC chipped envelope and place the data in a database?
