The CBO issued a "score" related to HR 756 yesterday. This came a bit more quickly than some of us expected, which is good news. Additionally, the "score", representing a $6 billion overall benefit to the budget over 10 years, is better than anticipated.
Again, this is good news. The size of the score should provide stronger bargaining power in discussions with the Ways & Means Committee. With OGR Chairman Chaffetz expected to leave Congress by the end of this month and the expected move of Trey Gowdy to the Chair (a supporter of HR 756) we should be able to regain some momentum in moving forward.
I've attached a brief summary for your review.
