I wanted to share a recent experience on a mailing project - one that Idealliance helped me out on!
Back in November we completed a mailing for a longtime client and as we often do, we were tracking the delivery. This was for a nonprofit organization that relies heavily on their year-end appeal, and after about 10 days we only found a minimal number of deliveries. We did reach out to some local post offices just to see if they had seen the rather unique piece, and had not luck. After another 3-4 days though, we finally began to track more deliveries - but interestingly enough, they were from all over the country, and absolutely
none within a 10 mile radius of the sectional center we dropped them at! We did some more calls and took up to our district mail rep and she began contacting others, but again not much help - she found little response from the sectional center manager. Only after 24 days did we finally start to get the local deliveries and still no response as to why.
I happened to be talking with David Steinhardt and mentioned this to him, at which point he referred me to another Postal Rep - Jakki Krage, and after some discussion it was determined that ultimately the sacks of mail had been misplaced and nobody seemed to care. Long story short, after a couple more weeks we actually received a postage reimbursement from the Post Office! That was definitely a first for us, and I appreciate the help of Ideallliance!
