  • 1.  Digital Shop Cannot Keep Humdity up?

    Posted 02-08-2017 02:17 PM
I am a digital shop with about 2,500 Sq ft of production areas with 9 ft ceilings.  I run 4 digital machines all day long and have to keep the AC on to keep the temp at 73 for employee comfort.  I have three small humidifiers that only keep it at about 30 humidity.

We have issues with static on folder, booklet maker, automatic punch machines.

I do plan on staying at this location for 2 years and then hopefully purchase my own.  Do you have a suggestion to get my humidity up.

    Please call email me directly.

Nortec EL series. All your humidity problems will go away. And you can remove and take with you when you move to a larger place.

    Hi Shawn,

Have you tried setting up an air flow that brings cool winter air in from outside without passing it through the AC unit? This allows you to retain most of the moisture in the incoming air itself and prevents you from removing moisture that you have added to the interior air.  In the winter (in New England anyway) there is very little dust hanging in the air outside so that is not a problem for us.

    Just a thought.

We use hydrofoggers and they work very well.  Portable if you move.  They run around $450.00 dollars but worth every penny.
www.hydroflogger.com.  We run two in a 6,000 sf digital production area and have no problems in keeping humidity at 40% or over if we want.

    Shawn,
We have a General Aire Elite. It is plumbed in but could be movable if you change locations. Picture attached.
