We are looking for a vendor who can print business cards on 16 pt. stock printed 4/4 with soft touch lamination (or silk) plus spot UV and silver foil in register on the front and spot UV only on the back. Any suggestions? 4Over won't do the UV and foil in register.

Hi Brian first question needs to be ask is this a one time job?  If so is it worth all the searching and potential issues. If the answer comes back yes make sure you charge 200 to 300 for just finding this firm.

I would talk to my local 6 color printing firm 14 x 20 min sheet who has a machine that registers very well, talk to my film lam people on stampable laminate or maybe just put an AQ coating on press then talk to my local spot UV supplier 14 x 20 min sheet and then my local foil stamping house 5.5 x 8.5 min sheet.
This is a lot of talking to people for business cards.

These firms need to be local to you if not you can not control the quality that you are asking for.

Brian start locally with you partners

    Brian,

That's a lot to expect from a general trade printer like 4over or ASAP Printing. I would recommend you look for a local specialty finishing company who can apply the soft touch and spot UV and also do the foil stamping after you do the 4C/4C printing. We're in central North Carolina. If we had a customer who was insistent on that kind of business card (because it's going to be extremely expensive) we would use a company called Elite Print Finishing. Their number is (336) 222-7778. They can do all of what you need in house after the 4C/4C printing is done. But get out your wallet. J Good luck.
