For those who didn’t attend Postal Exchange in Clear Water among the many discussions affecting the postal industry, not surprisingly, was a vigorous discussion centered around postal reform. While not everyone is going to agree on the same postal reform issues within Idealliace there was overwhelming consensus to get involved with your Senators and Congressman. Without our voices your representatives are likely to make a decision on our/your behalf that may NOT be well informed.
I would like to encourage everyone to reach out and share your concerns with your elected officials. I’ve personally worked through a few federal issues with Herb Kohl (a former Wisconsin Senator) and I was delighted to see how engaged our officials can be when put to task. Most elected officials have very capable aids that do a terrific job collecting data and informing decision makers to assure good outcomes. Your time spent reaching out could make a substantial difference, we need informed politicians and your efforts will help to that end.
