Monitoring G7 Grayscale after G7 calibration can be done very easily and quickly with a standard handheld spectrophotometer on setup and during the print run. If there is a problem, grayscale can sometimes be adjusted on press and that will bring you into compliance. If the grayscale is off, then troubleshooting can be done with the same instrument.
- Check the solids. If they are good
- Check the for standard TVI from the G7 Calibration. If the solids and TVI checkout.
- Check the substrate. If that doesn't solve the problem.
- You need to analyze the print with software and more than likely, you will need to recalibrate.
You can monitor all of this very quickly with a handheld spectrophotometer. Analytics require G7 Software.
