We are considering changing mailing software companies and would like some feedback on AccuZip. I have personally used BCC Software for over 20 years (yes, even the DOS version). Overall we've been happy with the software over the years. But in recent past we noticed the program to be "glitchy" with opening windows that show up behind the main window, slow processing when CASS encoding (we have a RAM Drive), and new windows simply taking too long to open. We run other software on the same machine with no issues. I've discussed this with BCC tech support on several occasions. They essentially told me that this is just the way the programs works on some machines depending on the operating system. They would need feedback from multiple customers in order to have their programers look into the issue. This prompted me to look at other options. I've done the live demo for AccuZip6 and it seems impressive for the price. Many things are included in the software that are an extra cost for BCC (merge/purge, mail.dat, mail tracking reporting, etc.). But I've heard mixed things about their support from a former user of the software. I'm more interested in the features that AccuZip offers that are built into the base software than saving money. Their software seems to be more cutting edge than BCC from what I can tell at this point. Any feedback would be greatly appreciated.
