Cutter Recommendation

We are looking to replace our cutter. I have posted a different thread about an automation question. I would like to know thoughts on cutters for a digital operation. I am evaluating a new Challenge - Champion 305 (we have an old 305 that we are replacing) and a Duplo 660 Pro. I'm sure the consensus would be that the Challenge is a better cutter but am curious to see what people think of these or others. I'm not set on either of these.

Here are some of our considerations

    1. Automation -
    2. Equipment similarities. We have a Duplo DC646 and we really like it. Is there an advantage to getting more of the same brand.
    3. Price
    4. Durability/Reliability
    5. Service (shouldn't be an issue in our market as there are service providers for most everything)

    Thanks in advance.

yes,I would agree with you, the Challenger would be the better option.

But if your a very busy shop, seriously consider getting one of those air tables as an option.

Your operators will be most appreciative !

I would say buy an Itoh, but I think the smallest they make is a 45. Ours has run ten ours a day for 18 years without missing a beat.
