    Good Afternoon,

Can anyone share with me how to print on laminated cards?
Some of my customers are interested in having this done and I didn't know if it was special ink,
or if there is an existing machine you can purchase to do this type of work.

    Any help would be useful.

You would need to use a printer capable of using UV curable inks. There are lots of choices, my preference is Kirk Rudy, only because I have run their equipment and I find it to be rock solid. Google UV curable inkjet addressing.

I believe MCS has a UV system as well.

I got this information from our Konica Rep in the event it is helpful.  Feel free to reach out to Dennis direct:

"It really depends on the material of laminate used. Most are toner receptive and have no problems running on Konica Minolta Production devices. Relyco and Blanks USA make a variety of pre-laminated digital blanks, or custom preprinted and laminated sheets, that can be used for this effect.

We would want to look at the material they are using ahead of time and possibly test it before making any final recommendations.
