Hi Kai,
The Convert to Press Color Space is used with "Use Job Settings," we use "Use Media Profile Settings" with the Paper Type and the Media Profile for the G7 and dot gain curves. We really don't want to use any XMF Color Management other than the plate curves for a specific press. All of our files are color managed prior to entering XMF.
I was told by a tech that "Use Media Profile Settings" was not the correct set-up, but we've been set this way for years. The Press Color Color Space is set to GRACoL2013_CRPC6 regardless of the paper type (coated or uncoated). When the Press Color Space was changed to CRPC3, the numbers of a specific build were not at all what was in the file.
I had another discussion with XMF tech support about our issue, and had put together several screenshots showing the cmyk build results to each setting. I sent them to XMF for review and I haven't heard back, yet.
I was curious how others had their XMF set up and have talked to two other people, but after I explain the issue, I haven't hear anything else.
Thanks for responding,
Robin

I use Fujifilm XMF and Color Path.
I was recently having a similar issue with XMF. A brand color build was shifting that wasn't accounted for in the G7 curve.
When I talked with Fujifilm, we discovered when we were set up, there was a "Convert to Press Color Space" option that was checked in the Press Media options.
This was how the Fujifilm tech set us up originally (we have been running XMF for 8 years), but they no longer recommend this.
Turning this option off resolved our problem.

Does anyone in this group use XMF and/or XMF color management, specifically ColorPath Organizer?
