Is anyone else seeing an issue connecting a Exact specro (with the ability to scan) to Curve4 software with the new Mac M1 chip running MAC OS Monterey?

We have had issues connecting USB devices to OS Monterey with both new and older Xrite tables.

    David,

I use X-Rite DataCatcher software to input Lab values into an excel spreadsheet. When I updated to Monterey, that process stopped working. This computer is not running the Mac M1 chip so I think that is more related to the operating system.

I submitted a ticket into X-Rite explaining what I am seeing and asked for any recommendations.

    Kyle,

I think it's only the OS and the base communication to the USB bus. It's truly the only thing that makes sense. I am not running the new M1 either!

    Thank You

Here is how I fixed my issue. Remember my problem was with the X-Rite DataCatcher software and streaming Lab value data to a spreadsheet so this may or may not be helpful to Curve4 and other programs.

The software DataCatcher (DC) needs permission to do what it does. In my Accessibility folder in the Security & Privacy system preferences DC was checked, showing it had permission although was not working. Something must have got messed up when I updated to Monterey. When I deleted DC from the accessibility folder and then re-added/rechecked it everything worked again.

Regarding DataCatcher on Mac, you must go to System Settings>Accessibility and make sure Datacatcher is enabled.

Thanks Jon, this did not fix my issues. My i1iO tables, ver2 or ver3 are not available from my intel Mac running Monterey.

    Thank You

Hi Dave, I used last Monday my i1iO pro2 table in the i1Profiler X-rite SW to create a color linearization and .icc profile and got no issues with the USB connection works better(faster) than Windows PC.

I have an Intel Macbook Pro with the last OS version: macOS Ventura 13.1 (22C65), maybe you need to update the OS or try to install the i1Profiler (It will update your firmware/drivers) and reinstall curve4 and remember to give full disk access permission before starting both software, Mac permissions usually is a headache!

If curve4 still doesn't work, load the P2P reading file to i1Profiler, do the measurements using x-rite sw, export the measurements as a CGATS text file, and import it in curve4.

    i1Profiler sw info: v3.6.1.16841 | XRD Version: 3.0.152 | Prism Version: 3.7.5.16412.

Hope it will be useful let me know if worked.

    BR.

So upgrading fixed the issue with the scanners, 12.4 to 12.6.3
