Our graphics team uses Heidelberg Prinect workflow to output proofs to an EPSON 9900.
They are having issues outputting proofs that are failing in their colorimetric summary statement that goes on every proof we output.
All areas pass except the "Average all patches" category. When it fails it's barely out (2.51-2.55 Delta E vs the 2.5 Tolerance). We do have an inline XRite spectrophotometer. The team has run cleaning of the print heads, checked print head alignment and has adjusted their humidity, etc.
My personal thought is that maybe the inline spectro may be out of calibration. I informed the graphics mgr to contact Heidelberg for a Prinect support call to see if there was an issue on their end. Also recommended she contact EPSON to see what possible next steps are necessary.
Has anyone else run into a similar situation? We do not have anything line GMG or 3rd party software except for Prinect driving the EPSON 9900. Any light that could be shed on this would be appreciated.
