  • 1.  Prinect and updated G7 certification

    I've been working on getting our proofing system (Epson 9000) aligned with and passing G7 Targeted for both Coated and Uncoated stocks. The problem I'm running in to is that the parameters for G7 contract proofs on the Heidelberg Prinect systems are set up for E76 (old numbers) standards (which seem to do well for Grayscale compliance but not Targeted). Sounds like for Targeted the G7 Contract Proof the setup needs to using the new numbers E2000. Has anyone run into this? It seems odd to me that Heidelberg has not updated their standards, if in fact that is the case. Thanks, Steve K.

    Talked to Heidelberg, sounds like I needed the "ISO 12647-7 Contract Proof (2016)" option.
