  • 1.  i1 ISIS2 won't scan TC1617x but P2P51 is ok

    Hello,
    I am having an issue with an i1 ISIS 2 scanner won't scan a TC1617x or an IT8.7-4 CMYK random Test Chart to completion. No issue scanning a P2P51 from the same press sheet. The test scans get 1/4 to 1/3 of the way and then spontaneously fail. Ideas appreciated.

    Make sure you trim off the dotted lines on the top, left and right sides. I struggled with this when we first purchased the ISIS 2, and ever since I started trimming the dashed lines off I haven't had a single issue.

    Which software are you using to scan the charts? You could try a trial version of any other software and see if that works. Make sure that the TC1617 was not scaled up or down. You could try to shift the chart 2 or 3 mm to the right and see if that helps.

    Multiple softwares. With the TC1617 there is really no room to move left/right. But cutting the dash lines off the chart solves the issue. Thanks

    What software are you using? I had the same problem using Curve 4. I switched to reading the TC 1617 into i1Profiler then exporting the data into Curve 4 and it works great.
